Brian and Charles 2022 Review. Brian is a lonely inventor who lives in the Welsh valley and dreams of a companion. His greatest creations are trawl nets with flying cuckoo clocks for shoes and an egg belt. The last winter he spent alone plunged the hero into a deep depression. One day, a bizarre contraption maker finds a discarded mannequin head and comes up with an idea. Three days, a washing machine and various spare parts - this is how the mechanical Charles was invented. The machine did not work at first, but a storm forced it to turn on. A robot with low-tech artificial intelligence learns English from a dictionary. He renders a charming and sassy friend. However, the 7-foot robot friend soon develops autonomy. Intrigued by the big world outside the cottage, he is hungry for adventure. When the city bully and notorious thief Eddie Tommington begins to notice strange things happening on the farm, Brian's fear leads him to keep his almost "baby" invention a secret. The eccentric and clumsy outsider is afraid to tackle the problem fully armed. Meanwhile, Charles begins to question the rules, leading to a rift between the characters.
